OSA Archivum and Verzio Film Foundation organize the annual human rights documentary film festival VERZIO. Since 2004 Verzio has been an ongoing joint project of OSA bringing outstanding documentaries to Budapest. The festival is organized under the auspices of film director Miklós Jancsó and the Hungarian Helsinki Committee. The principal aim of Verzio Film Festival is to highlight human rights issues, especially for the young, and to create greater global awareness via documentaries that go beyond the usual media coverage of current social and political affairs. The documentaries as well as the parrallel cultural events address a wide range of issues shaping international affairs today: civil conflicts; war crimes; terrorism; political repression; free media; minorities; acceptance and tolerance versus exclusion, nationalism and racism; equal opportunities, women's rights, trafficking, domestic violence; child abuse.
